73 (2nd CP): What Gao Ming Owes You, I’ll Have the Baby’s Father Repay
A few days ago, Ma Heng happily informed Gao Tu that his company would be opening a branch in Yishi, and he’d be serving as the business director.
Gao Tu was sincerely happy for his promotion, but faintly recalled that Ma Heng had always dreamed of the colorful, bustling life of the big city, and never seemed content to stay in a quiet little town with no prospects.
Had he grown up, seen the glitz of the outside world, and realized it wasn’t all that, then suddenly rediscovered the goodness of home?
Gao Tu didn’t quite understand this sudden change, but he respected and blessed it all the same.
Still, having such an overly enthusiastic neighbor came with its inconveniences — like right now.
“Really, no need, thanks, Heng-ge. I can take a cab myself.”
Ma Heng’s two apartments were right next to each other. At noon, when he returned for lunch, he happened to run into Gao Tu heading out and insisted on driving him.
“It’s no trouble, and I’m heading to work anyway.”
“You don’t even know where I’m going — how could it be on your way?”
Gao Tu helplessly declined.
“Besides, don’t you start work at 1:30? It’s only 12 now — don’t skip lunch. I’m not going far; a taxi’s just the base fare.”
“Exactly — then a little detour and you’re there.”
Ma Heng grabbed his arm and tugged him into the elevator, smiling:
“At this rate, you’re spending more time rejecting me than it would take to drive you there.”
The place he was heading wasn’t far at all — Gao Ming had asked to meet at 12:15 in a café near the restaurant. He’d said he had something stored there to give to Gao Tu, and then they could go have lunch together.
But Gao Tu had already decided he’d leave right after picking it up — eating with Gao Ming only made him uncomfortable; no matter how delicious or nostalgic the food was, it would all taste like ashes.
“Gao Tu!”
Gao Ming was waiting at the café door, and rushed forward the moment Gao Tu got out of the car.
It had been a long time since they’d met. Gao Ming’s overbearing enthusiasm startled Gao Tu, who instinctively took a few steps back.
Gao Ming threw an arm over his shoulder and steered him into the café, warmly explaining:
“This is a friend’s place — they’re closed today.”
Only then did Gao Tu notice the half-pulled metal shutter at the entrance, and his heart thudded. Before he could react, Gao Ming pushed him inside.
The shutter clanged down behind them. Inside sat three unfamiliar men — all Alpha by scent.
Still in isolation and treatment, suddenly surrounded by strange Alphas made Gao Tu panic. He instinctively raised a hand to cover his nose.
“What’s wrong? Think Alphas stink?”
Gao Ming’s smile vanished, replaced by mockery:
“Aren’t you a Beta? Since when are you so sensitive to Alpha pheromones?”
The three burly Alphas surrounded him, their chaotic scents suffocating.
Gao Tu backed up, still covering his nose, and asked:
“Didn’t you say you had something for me?”
“Oh, that? Suddenly I don’t feel like giving it anymore.”
Gao Ming sneered:
“But I do want to ask you something — why’d you suddenly quit and run back here without a word?”
Before Gao Tu could answer, a tattooed Alpha cut in:
“Cut the crap, Lao Gao. You owe our stall 300,000, and you said your son would cover it. This sickly-looking guy is your son? Doesn’t look like he can pay us back!”
“Debts? What debts?”
Gao Tu’s breathing quickened as he turned to Gao Ming, accusing:
“Didn’t you say you’d stopped gambling? That you’d found a job and would live honestly now!?”
“Kid, don’t you know your own father? Has he ever told the truth?”
The tattooed Alpha leaned in impatiently:
“Look — the money’s owed. Can you pay or not? Say it straight.”
Even a rabbit bites when cornered — let alone Gao Tu, whose sore spots had been stabbed over and over.
“I don’t have the money.”
He said angrily:
“You should collect from the one who borrowed it!”
“Oh?”
The tattooed Alpha’s smile cooled.
“So I came all the way from Jianghu just to go back empty-handed?”
“Didn’t you check his background before lending him money? Why loan it to someone like him!”
Gao Tu’s voice shook:
“You’re just a damn underground casino — gambling is illegal! You’re criminals!”
The tattooed Alpha barked a laugh:
“Oh, you figured that out? Then I really can’t just let you walk away.”
This particular Alpha was infamous in the loan shark circle — his methods of torment and his perversions equally revolting.
Gao Ming knew he preferred tall, strong Omegas — delicate ones were a dime a dozen, but robust Omegas were rare and pricey.
Compared to his get-rich dreams, Gao Tu’s body meant nothing to him.
It’s just being slept with. Not even the first time.
And if it is the first time — even better. Worth more.
Gao Ming had already thought it through — if the child in Gao Tu’s belly was Shen Wenlang’s, he’d use the abortion as leverage to extract a huge sum from him.
And if it wasn’t Shen Wenlang’s, he could still hand the pregnant Gao Tu over to the tattooed Alpha — rare, strong Omegas like him were worth even more.
Gao Tu pulled out his phone to call the police — but it rang once before being snatched away.
The tattooed Alpha was stronger than he expected, his grip on Gao Tu’s shoulder painfully tight.
Gao Tu wasn’t weak, but he was outnumbered, in poor condition, and soon pinned to the floor.
“Calling the cops? Kid, some troubles can’t be solved by police.”
The tattooed Alpha squatted close, his breath hot against Gao Tu’s face:
“So — how are you going to pay your father’s debt?”
Gao Tu struggled to shield his abdomen, gritting out:
“I didn’t borrow it — why should I pay? Can’t you be reasonable?”
“Reasonable? I fucking hate being reasonable!”
The Alpha turned and kicked Gao Ming hard in the stomach.
“Didn’t you say your son would pay? He’s trying to argue with me now — what do you say?”
Gao Ming fell back with a groan, laughing obsequiously:
“Don’t be angry. I really don’t have money. But my son used to earn a lot — he’s covered my debts before. He used to work for a big boss in Jianghu — 300,000 was nothing to him!”
“But he suddenly quit, so he’s broke. How about this — I’ll ‘pawn’ him to you. Do as you please, okay?”
“Pawn him? What the hell would I do with a Beta? Worthless.”
“Take a good look — he’s not a Beta, he’s an Omega! Smell him if you don’t believe me!”
“Omega?”
The three Alphas leaned in, examining the back of his neck.
“Oh! He really is — wearing a suppressant patch!”
The tattooed Alpha ripped off the patch and inhaled deeply — a soft, steady sage scent spread out.
“Well, well — he really is an Omega.”
The Alpha licked his lips, grinning:
“That’s worth something.”
Being sniffed like that was like a girl being groped on the street — Gao Tu’s face went white as a sheet as he struggled fiercely.
He swung an arm, catching one Alpha square in the nose and kicking another to the ground.
“Fiery one, huh? I love that.”
The tattooed Alpha watched with delight as Gao Tu climbed to his feet.
“Spicy little thing.”
Then a heavy wild-orange scent pressed down on him — the incompatible Alpha pheromones stunned Gao Tu, his whole body paralyzed, pain flaring from his neck down. He whimpered, staggering back.
The Alpha caught him, chuckling:
“As much as I like you, I’m a fair man — maybe I should charge by the session. Sound good?”
“Boss is so just!”
“The most fair!”
Even Gao Ming chimed in:
“By the session? That’ll take forever — I was hoping to borrow another round off him later!”
The tattooed Alpha actually looked at him in astonishment, then laughed:
“You still want to borrow more?”
“He’s valuable! And not just to you — he’s even pregnant!”
What?!
How could he… know?!
Gao Tu’s face went even paler, breath sharp and ragged. He wanted to ask how Gao Ming knew he was pregnant — but his throat felt blocked, no sound came out.
“Pregnant?”
The Alpha’s eyes lit up:
“Poor little thing. If I were your Alpha, I’d never let you come see a scumbag dad like this with a belly full of baby.”
“His Alpha didn’t want him,” Gao Ming said deliberately, watching as Gao Tu’s face went ashen.
“Nobody wants the kid either. So it’s your lucky day.”
No — that’s not true! Someone does want him!
Clutching his belly, eyes burning, Gao Tu thought desperately:
Baby — you’re not unwanted. Someone cares. I care. I’m waiting for you, cherishing you, loving you — I’d give anything for you.
There has to be a way. Think. There has to be a way! Money — where can I get money?
His heart pounded, face pale as death, lips trembling before he finally rasped out:
“I have money.”
The tattooed Alpha leaned close, cupping his ear:
“What? Speak up, sweetheart — I can’t hear you.”
Gao Tu bit his lip, then raised his voice:
“I said — I have money!”
“What Gao Ming owes you — I’ll have the baby’s father repay you.”
