Jiang Xiaoshuai came over together with Guo Chengyu.
“Have you gotten in touch with him yet?” Jiang asked Chi Cheng anxiously.
Chi Cheng’s face was dark, and he didn’t say a word.
Guo Chengyu asked calmly from the side, “Has Wu Suowei crossed anyone recently?”
Chi Cheng said, “He had some conflict with Zhang Baogui a while back, but that guy doesn’t have the guts.”
Indeed, to dare kidnap Wu Suowei, the first prerequisite was courage. Because kidnapping Wu Suowei was basically the same as stabbing Chi Cheng in the back, and in all of Beijing, the number of people who dared to do that could be counted on one hand.
And those who not only had the guts but had also clashed with Wu Suowei before were even fewer.
The three of them fell silent in turn.
After a moment of thought, Guo Chengyu asked Chi Cheng, “Could it be your dad?”
Chi Cheng’s gaze froze, and suddenly the image of that locked bedroom surfaced in his mind.
Jiang Xiaoshuai frowned. “How would his dad even know about the two of them?”
“His dad has eyes and ears all over Beijing. Chi Cheng spends all his time eating and living with Wu Suowei, and he already has a history. You think his dad doesn’t know what’s going on?”
“By that logic, his dad should’ve known a long time ago. Why only take action now? Besides, even if his dad knew, he wouldn’t need to resort to this, would he? Couldn’t he just call him over and give him a lecture?”
“You think a lecture would work?” Guo Chengyu pinched Jiang’s cheek. “Use that little brain of yours. What kind of man is his dad? You think an ordinary guy could raise a son like him?”
Jiang shook off Guo’s hand forcefully. “Is this really the time for your nonsense?”
It wasn’t that Guo Chengyu wasn’t worried, it was just that he was completely sure Wu Suowei was at Chi Yuanduan’s place, and equally sure Chi Yuanduan wouldn’t actually harm Wu Suowei.

Chi Cheng asked Guo Chengyu, “You came to keep me company tonight, didn’t Jiang Xiaoshuai get mad?”
Guo Chengyu replied, “Nope. He’s the one who told me to come keep you company. He still trusts me. It’s just one night, it’s not a big deal.”
Chi Cheng ground his molars, his heated gaze sweeping over at Guo Chengyu.
“You two screw each other every single night?”
Guo Chengyu curled his lips into a smile. “Unless something unexpected happens, yeah.”
“And by ‘unexpected’ you mean?”
Guo patted his crotch. “Like if my dick broke or something.”
“Fuck!”
The two of them let out a pair of hearty, masculine laughs.
Guo reached up and grabbed a bottle of whiskey from the shelf. As he poured, he said to Chi Cheng, “A foreign friend gave this to me. Tastes pretty good to me. Have a glass, might help take the edge off.”
Chi Cheng said, “No fun drinking alone. You drink too.”
So Guo fetched another glass, poured it, and the two clinked their glasses together.
The more Chi drank, the hotter and more restless he felt inside. He grabbed the back of Guo’s neck in his big hand, and teased, “You two go at it every night like that, Jiang Xiaoshuai can handle it?”
Guo smacked his lips and gave a wicked grin.
“I don’t even want to be that tired. But he keeps clinging to me, and the moment we get in bed it’s all ‘Hubby, fuck me,’ ‘Hubby, I really want you to screw me,’ that kind of thing. Damn, how could I not?”
Chi burst out laughing. “That shameless?”
“Mm, unbeatable little slut.”
Chi’s big hand suddenly yanked Guo’s face toward his own, his boozy breath spilling all over him.
“Hearing those words from your mouth is kind of hot too.”
“What words?” Guo asked.
Chi mocked him, “‘Hubby, fuck me,’ ‘Hubby, I really want you to screw me.'”
“Fuck you!”
Guo laughed and cursed, throwing a punch that knocked Chi to the side.
Chi said again, “Lend me your Jiang Xiaoshuai for a couple days, huh? He wants it so bad, wouldn’t it be better if the two of us satisfied him together?”
“Thanks but no thanks!” Guo patted his crotch. “I can handle it just fine on my own.”
Chi just smirked without saying anything, downing another glass of liquor.
——
Truth be told, Jiang Xiaoshuai didn’t feel at ease about Guo Chengyu at all.
When he told Guo to go keep Chi Cheng company, it was thirty percent genuine kindness and seventy percent just being polite. He didn’t expect Guo to latch onto that thirty percent and not let go, agreeing without hesitation, even planting a big kiss on Jiang’s face and praising him for being so considerate.
At that point, Jiang couldn’t really say anything else, saying more would only make him look petty.
But the truth was, he was petty.
He didn’t worry about anyone else, just Chi Cheng.
Not because he doubted Chi’s feelings for Wu Suowei, nor his character or conduct. The real reason, deep down, was because Jiang maliciously thought Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu actually looked good together.
That’s why he couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night and came over to check on them.
Before coming, he even found himself an excuse, though it couldn’t really be called an excuse, more like a sudden inspiration. He thought of that watch Wu Suowei had, but not in a flirty way — instead, he thought of using it to send a secret signal.
Armed with this clever little idea, Jiang Xiaoshuai walked boldly to Guo Chengyu’s bedroom door.
He knocked lightly, no response.
He gave the door a hard slap, and it swung open, it had only been half-closed.
Inside, Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu had just finished. Their pants weren’t even back on yet; Chi was handing Guo a tissue.
Jiang Xiaoshuai’s face went dark in an instant.
Guo Chengyu’s face followed, turning green. He took a few long strides and caught up to Jiang at the stairwell.
“Shuaishuai, listen to me, this thing…”
Jiang didn’t bother saying anything melodramatic like ‘I don’t want to hear your excuses’. He just snapped,
“Go ahead! I’ll stand right here and listen to whatever you’ve got to say!”
Guo Chengyu was the one who found himself speechless, there was no explaining this no matter how you spun it.
“It’s like this, earlier, Chi was in a bad mood, we both drank a little, and then… you know, Chi doesn’t hold anything back. He started talking about some dirty topics, then stripped his pants off to fan the flames, and I got a little worked up… No, wait, that’s not right either. Why is this sounding worse the more I explain?”
“Don’t bother.” Jiang Xiaoshuai swung a fist and caught Guo hard across the face. “Now I really know what kind of man you are!”
He turned to leave.
But Guo grabbed him back and held him tight, refusing to let go, kissing him, coaxing him, nothing worked.
So Jiang just dropped a single line.
“Tell Chi Cheng, I know how to find Dawei. Let him regret this!”
With that, he shoved Guo away and strode off, exuding pure swagger.
