While Wu Suowei was recovering from his injuries, Jiang Xiaoshuai wasn’t having an easy time either. To avoid Chi Cheng’s retaliation, he humbled himself enough to take refuge with his enemy. All day long he drifted between Guo Chengyu’s pet snake park and private club—getting massages, fishing, listening to music—living like some kept mistress.
Only late at night did Jiang dare to sneak out, return to the clinic for a while, look at his warm, simple little room, think about the familiar neighbors around here, shed a few bitter tears, and then go back.
Tonight, Jiang couldn’t sleep again. He bundled himself up tightly, leaving only his eyes exposed, and quietly slipped out.
Wu Suowei was half-asleep, about to drift off, when the sound of a key turning in the lock suddenly jolted him awake.

Bumping into them again? Them? Those two? … Shit!
The ones who were screwing—it was those two! Jiang Xiaoshuai finally seemed to realize, his eyes blazing with bloodshot fury. He slammed on the gas and shot off.
Guo Chengyu, fuck you and your whole family!!!
When Jiang got back to Guo Chengyu’s place, it was already past 3 a.m. Guo was asleep, but Jiang was outside pounding on the door like a madman, looking ready to risk his life.
A minute later, the door finally creaked open, revealing a face full of drowsy laziness.
“So late, banging on my door and moaning so loud—how desperate are you?”
Jiang barked, “Guo Chengyu, you motherf—”
Before he could finish, the door swung open wider, and there was Guo—completely naked.
His body, all hard muscle, gleamed under the light, stabbing right into Jiang’s eyes, which were unfortunately partial to the male form.
Jiang choked on his words.
Guo leaned one hand on the doorframe, his upturned eyes glinting a wicked red.
“What the fuck about me? Go on—say it.”
Jiang’s aggression deflated by half, and his tone swerved awkwardly.
“Why the hell… are you so naked?”
Guo glanced down, deliberately slid a hand into the hair down there and fiddled a bit, snorted with amusement.
“You’re a doctor—you should know sleeping naked is good for your health, right?”
Jiang’s mind was thrown into chaos by that obscene gesture.
Guo purposely asked, “So what brings you here at this hour?”
Jiang held it in for a long moment before squeezing out two stiff words.
“Nothing.”
He turned to leave—only to have Guo’s arm snake around him tight.
“You already woke me up. Not coming in for a chat would just be rude, wouldn’t it?”
Jiang kept a cold face, prying at Guo’s arm. “What’s rude about it?”
Guo somehow produced a small bottle and held it up to Jiang’s face.
“I noticed your drawer has quite a stash of nice things—like this bottle of aphrodisiac spray. I like it a lot.”
As he spoke, he sprayed it lightly in front of Jiang’s nose.
In that moment, Jiang suddenly felt the man standing before him was no cheeky scoundrel—but a deadly, venomous cobra.
“Let’s go,” Guo said, and yanked the dazed, wide-eyed Jiang inside.
